We're new and growing fast. If you own East Texas ground, you can list it free in about five minutes — you set the price, the dates, and the rules, and keep 100% of your price (hunters pay a small service fee on top). Get in early and be the first listing hunters see here.
East Texas is pine plantation, hardwood bottoms, and creek drainages — thick cover where you hunt shooting lanes, food plots, and pipeline right-of-ways rather than glassing across a pasture. Deer here run smaller-bodied than the brush country but the leases cost a fraction as much, and there is a great deal more of it within reach of Houston and DFW.
Much of the leasable ground belongs to timber companies and changes hands on their cycle. A tract that was clear-cut two years ago hunts completely differently from mature pine, so ask when it was last harvested and what the replant looks like.
Feral hogs are heavy through the Brazos, Trinity, Neches, and Sabine bottoms — year-round, no closed season, and often the reason a lease pays for itself outside of deer season.
The eastern edge of the state also picks up genuine waterfowl on the river bottoms and green-tree reservoirs, and Eastern turkey has been restored across parts of the region under a spring season with tighter limits than the Rio Grande birds farther west.
