We're new and growing fast. If you own near Lubbock ground, you can list it free in about five minutes — you set the price, the dates, and the rules, and keep 100% of your price (hunters pay a small service fee on top). Get in early and be the first listing hunters see here.
Whitetail run across the Rolling Plains and the canyon country east of the Caprock — smaller-bodied than South Texas deer, but genuinely wild and free-ranging. Mule deer hold in the breaks and the rougher western and northern country. This is one of the few parts of Texas where a lease can realistically offer both on the same ground.
Bobwhite and blue quail round it out — in a wet year the Rolling Plains produce quail hunting people drive across the country for — along with Rio Grande turkey in the spring along the river drainages and in the mesquite and cottonwood country.
Most ground around Lubbock trades as a season lease — a group of guns, a set price, camp privileges or not. That's the traditional shape and it works.
But a lot of this country is better suited to day hunts than landowners realize. Dove is the obvious one: a single September or October afternoon over a cut field is a complete product, and the same field can sell several times a season. Hogs are the other: no closed season, no bag limit, and the hunter is doing the landowner a favor. If you own farmland out here and assumed leasing meant handing the place over for four months, day access is the version that doesn't.
Flat farm country around Lubbock, Hale and Floyd — dove over grain, sunflower and playas, and waterfowl in a wet year.
Crosby, Garza, Dickens and Motley — broken canyon and mesquite draws where mule deer and whitetail share the same ground.
King, Stonewall, Kent, Knox, Haskell and Cottle — rough, low-fence country with free-range deer, quail, and far fewer hunters per section.
